Sikkim CM attends 37th Annual Convention of Akhil Bharatiya Tamang Boudha Sangh in Kalimpong

New Delhi, January 25: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay attended the 37th All India Annual Convention of the Akhil Bharatiya Tamang Boudha Sangh, held today in Kalimpong district, marking a significant milestone for the association dedicated to preserving and celebrating Tamang culture.

Speaking at the convention, Chief Minister emphasized the importance of embracing one海角直播 heritage with pride. 鈥淚t is our shared responsibility to ensure that our future generations cherish their roots and carry forward our traditions with pride and confidence,鈥 he said, encouraging the community to preserve and celebrate its cultural legacy.

He further reflected on the Sangh海角直播 journey and its impact over the past 37 years. A heartfelt message of congratulations was extended to the Sangh on its anniversary, recalling the efforts of the visionary former executives whose dedication and leadership laid the foundation of the association.

The Chief Minister also acknowledged the Sangh海角直播 efforts to promote the rich heritage and traditions of the Tamang community.

Highlighting his deep connection with the neighboring regions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong, the Chief Minister clarified that his visit, including his participation in this program, is entirely non-political. He stated unequivocally that he has no interest in West Bengal海角直播 politics. 鈥淚 am here solely as a guest and a well-wisher,鈥 he remarked, adding that his focus remains on working tirelessly for Sikkim and promoting its progress and development.

Earlier, Chief Minister and other dignitaries were felicitated by the Sangh in the convention which united Tamang Buddhist Sangh members from all corners of India to deliberate on community development, the safeguarding of cultural heritage, and fostering spiritual enrichment. The gathering also showcased traditional performances, prayers, and meaningful dialogues addressing key issues affecting the Tamang community.

The event was attended by Darjeeling MLA Mr Neeraj Zimba, MLA Kalchini Mr Vishal Lama, Press Secretary to CM Mr Yougan Tamang, dignitaries, community leaders, and the members of the Sangh from across the country.
