National, 18th July 2023: After impressing critics and audiences alike with her exceptional performances in Highway, Raazi, Gangubai Kathiawadi, and more, the immensely talented actor Alia Bhatt embarks on a new journey: making her Hollywood debut in the upcoming Heart of Stone. Alia talks about her life lessons, future goals, and her debut as a villain in an exclusive interview with Femina Editor-In-Chief Ambika Muttoo in the July 2023 issue.

Talking about roles different from her own personality in the Cover Story, Alia shares, “Empathy is the most important trait as an actor, at least for me, because, if I don’t empathize with the situation, I can’t create that imagination for myself. I empathise and I create a story in my head. I have a very wild imagination, so I create the world of that person in my head based on what information I’ve read in the script and what I feel for the character. And I keep thinking about that and I create that in my head. Everything happens in my head.”

About her journey as a global star, she adds, “My instinct is something that I’ve always gone with. Like my instinct for the Met Gala was to just go looking like myself. It����ֱ�� all happening all at once and I’m just taking it as it comes… I’m grateful for all the opportunities and I’m grateful for all the balance as well.”

She also shares with Ms. Muttoo her thoughts on privacy, and her outlook on balancing family, motherhood, acting, producing, and entrepreneurship.
