The rise of AI and digitization is revolutionizing the way we work, ushering in an era of unprecedented change and opportunity. India, leading the global charge with over 25% AI adoption, is at the forefront of this transformation. Industries like healthcare, retail, manufacturing, logistics, and IT services are leveraging technology to drive innovation and efficiency. Amidst all the talk about AI replacing jobs, the narrative is evolving—this isn’t just about displacement; itº£½ÇÖ±²¥ about adaptation and growth. According to the World Economic Forum, while 83 million jobs may phase out by 2027, 69 million new roles are expected to emerge, underscoring a future where human ingenuity remains the cornerstone of progress.

Entry-level positions, the foundation of career beginnings and organizational growth, are adapting to these changes. These roles demand creativity, adaptability, and emotional intelligence—qualities AI simply cannot replicate.ÌýA.R. Ramesh, CEO of TeamLease Degree Apprenticeship, shares a list of the top 10 entry-level roles that AI cannot replace amidst the rising AI revolution.

  1. Prompt Engineers: Professionals who design and refine AI prompts to ensure accurate and relevant outputs. These roles require a deep understanding of both technology and human context, making them irreplaceable by AI.

  2. Quality Engineers and Testers: These individuals assess and validate the functionality, reliability, and safety of products and software. While AI can assist, the nuanced decision-making and attention to detail required in testing make human involvement indispensable.

  3. Vocational Teachers: Educators who specialize in skill-based training for sectors like electronics, automotive, and renewable energy. Their ability to adapt lessons and provide personalized instruction tailored to each studentº£½ÇÖ±²¥ learning style ensures a role AI cannot replicate.

  4. Network Engineers: Experts responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient network systems. While automation aids in network management, the strategic planning and troubleshooting involved require human expertise.

  5. UI/UX Designers: These creative professionals design digital interfaces that are intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly. Despite AIº£½ÇÖ±²¥ advancements, understanding human emotion, aesthetics, and behavior is a uniquely human skill in design.

  6. Medical Assistants: Workers providing essential support in patient care, administration, and clinical procedures. Their empathetic approach to patient interaction and on-the-ground support in healthcare environments cannot be replaced by machines.

  7. Logistics Coordinators: These professionals ensure the efficient movement of goods through supply chains. While AI can optimize processes, human problem-solving is essential when dealing with unexpected delays, route changes, or logistical challenges.

  8. Heavy Skilled Workers and Technicians: Skilled workers in sectors like electronics and manufacturing who perform intricate tasks requiring physical dexterity, problem-solving, and adaptability in unpredictable environments.

  9. Electrical Technicians: Technicians who install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, ensuring the safe operation of equipment. The hands-on nature of this role, along with the need for specialized, on-site expertise, makes it resistant to automation.

  10. Construction Workers: Skilled laborers who build and maintain infrastructure, working in dynamic and often hazardous environments. Their ability to adapt to changing conditions and ensure safety is a critical factor AI cannot replicate.

As AI continues to evolve, skilling remains the cornerstone of a successful workforce. While AI may transform many aspects of work, it cannot replace the uniquely human traits—such as creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence—that are essential in many roles. The key to thriving in this changing landscape is continuous learning and adaptation. As industries embrace new technologies, those who invest in developing these irreplaceable skills will not only stay relevant but also lead the way in an increasingly AI-driven world. The future of work lies in the synergy between human talent and technological innovation.

Your resume is your first chance to make an impact, which is why it should be clear, concise and focused on your key strengths

With a crowd of people applying for the same job, the probability of success is limited. While sifting through dozens of resumes, the HR will only shortlist the best ones. This is why you need to focus on creating a highly professional resume. To get your employer’s attention, here are some points to consider while making your resume.

Tweak your resume as per the job role – Every organization has a slightly different set of roles and responsibilities for the same type of job. This is why you need to make some changes to your resume based on the job description published by the company. This makes it easier for the HR to identify you as a good option for that specific job role. For example, a Marketing Manager job can cover various skills and experience such as SEO, digital marketing, vendor coordination, event management, etc. But if a company has specifically asked for digital marketing and SEO experience, you need to mention it first and highlight it as well.

Keep it short and crisp – It is always better to use bullet points to showcase your skills and experience. Even the description following the bullet points should be crisp and concise. HR has just a few seconds to evaluate your resume. With bullet points, you can provide a good 360° view of your professional capabilities. Keeping the content short and crisp will also help reduce the number of pages of your resume. In most cases, your resume should not be more than two pages.

Highlight major achievements – If you mention the general stuff, your resume will have largely the same content as that of other candidates. To ensure that your resume stands out, you need to highlight some of your major achievements. It can include some of the big projects that you executed in your earlier organization. Provide a short and clear title as well, so that the HR can quickly understand what you have achieved.

Maintain proper chronology – It is important to mention your previous experience in reverse chronological order. That means your most recent job should be mentioned first, followed by other work experience in reverse chronological order. In most cases, the HR will focus on your most recent job experience. This is why reverse chronology is important when writing your resume. Mention the most important points first and the least important ones at the last.

Do not deep dive into hobbies and other personal pursuits – While organizations are looking for well-rounded individuals, the focus always remains on the skills and experience needed for the job. Anything else will be treated as secondary and optional. You can write a bit about your hobbies and personal interests, but keep that limited to a few sentences. Over emphasis on your hobbies and personal pursuits may send the wrong signals to the HR.

Check typos and grammatical mistakes – Any language-related mistakes in your resume can be like holes in a boat. So, make sure that you double check the content and ensure that there are no typos or grammatical mistakes. If you are not confident, you can get your resume checked by an editor or a professional resume writer. This can be done easily and affordably on any of the online freelancing websites. You can also use online AI tools like ChatGPT to proofread and enhance your resume.

*Assembly Election 2024:*
As the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections draw near, the stateº£½ÇÖ±²¥ political atmosphere is heating up. Adding to the tensions is the Election Commissionº£½ÇÖ±²¥ recent move to pause ongoing government recruitment following the election announcement. Reportedly, as per various media sources, this action is largely seen as a result of the Congress partyº£½ÇÖ±²¥ ‘Bharti Roko Gang’ (Stop Recruitment Gang), which has been questioning the existing recruitment practices.

*Government Jobs Over the Last Decade: 2024 Assembly Election*
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in power in Haryana for the past decade, is now aiming for a third consecutive term. Since 2014, the BJP has facilitated government jobs for around 150,000 unemployed individuals, positioning itself as a leader in creating employment opportunities.

*Focus on Transparent Recruitment: 2024 Assembly Election*
A key feature of BJPº£½ÇÖ±²¥ administration has been its emphasis on transparent hiring processes. The slogan ‘no slips, no bribery’ represents the governmentº£½ÇÖ±²¥ shift to merit-based recruitment, removing the need for recommendations or bribes to secure jobs. This approach has been positively received by many job seekers in Haryana.

*Congressº£½ÇÖ±²¥ Role in Halting Recruitment: 2024 Assembly Election*
Despite the BJPº£½ÇÖ±²¥ progress and efforts, the Congress party has apparently hindered (as stated in media reports) some recruitment processes, impacting various sectors. Media channels have reported some as below:

* 5,600 Haryana Police posts
* Teaching and physical education roles under the Haryana Staff Selection Commission
* Several positions within the Haryana Public Service Commission

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh raised concerns about potential violations of the electoral code, prompting an Election Commission investigation. The Commission determined that these recruitments began prior to the election announcement and followed the required guidelines, advising that results should only be declared post-election.

*Recruitment Delays and Youth Protests: 2024 Assembly Election*
Due to the actions of the ‘Bharti Roko Gang’ supposedly, approximately 24,000 government job results are still pending in Haryana. The Haryana Staff Selection Commission confirmed that results for around 1,500 first and second-category posts, 16,500 group 56 and 57 posts, and 6,000 police recruitments are ready, awaiting clearance for announcement.

The Commission chairman revealed that up to 7,000 results could be finalized by the election date, including 6,000 constable recruitment results. The youth of Haryana, frustrated by these delays, have protested Congressº£½ÇÖ±²¥ interference in the recruitment processes. Demonstrations took place at the residence of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, resulting in clashes with the police, underscoring the unrest among unemployed young people.

*Conclusion*
As the 2024 election date approaches, the political environment in Haryana grows more intense. The BJP is determined to retain power, while certain media sees it as Congress party seeking to leverage anti-incumbency sentiment. These elections are shaping up to be a decisive moment in the stateº£½ÇÖ±²¥ political future.

With government upskilling courses, job seekers can improve their career growth prospects and access higher salaries

In a technology-driven world, the needs of the industry are changing at a fast pace. What students learn in universities may become outdated by the time they reach the job market. Even for people currently employed, upskilling is necessary to create new career opportunities. To create a win-win for both the industry and job seekers, the government has launched various upskilling programs. Here is a look at some of the government upskilling courses you can consider to boost your career.

Skill India Mission

This is one of the primary government upskilling programs being run in the country. The Skill India Mission functions under the ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship. Some of the key objectives of Skill India Mission include facilitating skill development across India, ensuring adequate supply of skilled manpower, upskilling courses and creating frameworks for vocational and technical training.

Under Skill India mission, users can choose from a wide variety of upskilling courses. These courses are available in both offline and online formats. Users can choose based on their interest and aptitude. Upskilling courses for various industries are available, which makes it easier to enroll for job-oriented upskilling courses. Both free and paid upskilling courses are available via Skills India mission.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)

This is the flagship government upskilling program being run under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). It is executed by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). A wide variety of government upskilling courses are available including job-oriented short term training courses.

Also popular is the free vocational training to the young people in the age group of 15 to 35 years. PMKVY government upskilling courses are available for various industry segments such as retail, healthcare, IT and manufacturing. Job seekers choosing PMKVY benefit from certification, decent stipend amount and job placement services.

National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS)

This is designed to work as a launchpad for new job seekers. Job providers also benefit, as they can get manpower for apprentice positions. NAPS is a good opportunity for job seekers to gain valuable initial experience in the industry. With this experience, users can improve their career prospects and apply for regular jobs.

People joining NAPS are given basic training, so that they can better understand their job role and responsibilities. The basic training is usually around 20% to 25% of the overall duration of the apprenticeship. During their apprenticeship, candidates are eligible to be paid regular monthly stipends.

FutureSkills Prime

As India needs to sustain its dominance in the IT sector, a dedicated upskilling platform named FutureSkills Prime has been developed. It is a digital skilling initiative, launched in collaboration between NASSCOM and MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology). One of the primary focus areas is to develop India as a digital talent nation. The idea is to help professionals evolve rapidly in today’s fast changing digital landscape.

Under FutureSkills Prime, candidates can access various courses and pathways. Experiential Project-Based Learning (ePBL) allows candidates to acquire industry-ready skills. Upon course completion, candidates get certified and are incentivized by the government.

Engineering is the ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. This field requires a blend of strong technical and creative skills. As technologies continue to develop, the need for electrical and electronics engineers is increasing day by day.

Electrical Engineering is primarily concerned with the study, design, and application of equipment, devices, and systems that use electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism which helps them to design electrical equipment, such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems, and power generation equipment. automobiles and aircraft. Electrical engineers are highly employable and can find work in many areas, as they can work as Controls engineering, Project engineering, Test engineering, Electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, Design engineering, Systems engineering, Aeronautical engineering, Electronics engineering, renewable energy sectors, Automation, Robotics. The average salary of an electrical engineer graduate is 4.5 lakhs per annum. in India. It can depend on where they work, how much experience they have, and what industry they’re in. Starting salaries are often decent, and they earn more with more experience.

Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is a diverse engineering field focused on designing, developing, and implementing electronic systems and communication networks.

ECE engineers identify customer and project requirements, research solutions, design electronic circuits and systems, develop firmware and embedded software, test prototypes, and oversee manufacturing. They work to integrate cutting-edge electronics, software, and communication technologies to invent the next generation of gadgets and infrastructure. Electronics and communication engineering is a highly versatile field. ECE engineers find employment across a wide range of industries developing electronic systems and communication infrastructure. Some top sectors are Telecommunications, Aerospace and Defense, Automotive, Consumer Electronics, Power Systems, and Biomedical Engineering. The average salary for an electronics and communication engineer in India is ₹4 lacs per year. Just like with EE, salaries vary based on location, years of experience, skills, and employer.

Both Electrical Engineering (EE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) branches are equally good but it all depends upon the field of interest of an individual. I feel that the student should focus on the future goal. Once he is sure of that, he can then choose the stream of his choice. For broader classification. EE appeals to individuals passionate about Electrical technology and machines, circuit analysis, electronics, electromagnetism, electrical engineering materials, instrumentation, control systems, power engineering and transmission and distribution, Robotics, etc. They can apply for jobs in Private companies such as Crompton Greaves, Siemens, Hitachi, Jindal Steel and Power, reliance, I&T, TATA, and Samsung Engineering, and PSUs such as BHEL, NTPC, DMRC, NHPC, and Power Grid. State electricity boards like APTRANSCO, APGENCO. On the other hand, ECE provides essential foundations in areas like analog/digital circuits, signal analysis, electromagnetic theory, microprocessors, wireless communications, and electronics, Embedded Systems.

An electronics engineer can find a job in Central Government, State Governments and their sponsored corporations, and private industries dealing in the manufacture, sales, and services of electronics consumer goods and appliances. Electronics engineers are also absorbed into the broadcast industry, research establishments, and defense. PSUs such as BEL, and DRMC. MNCs such as Siemens, Texas Instruments, Intel, NVidia, Philips Electronics, Motorola, Samsung, and Flextronics. DRDO, ISRO, and IT companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, HCL Technologies Tech Mahindra, and EXL. Regardless of the chosen field, continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and technological advancements are essential for long-term career success and advancement.
