A church representative stated, 鈥淲e sincerely submitted a detailed written response, amounting to several thousand characters, addressing the 12 questions the journalist had sent in advance. Yet, only two sentences from our response were included in the article.鈥� The representative criticized this, saying, 鈥淭hat accounts for less than 1% of our full response, severely limiting readers鈥� ability to gain a balanced perspective.鈥�

The representative further commented, 鈥淛udging by the fact that the article was published only four hours after we submitted our answers, it appears that the report had already been pre-written with a predetermined, targeted narrative.鈥�

They added, 鈥淚f written responses were not enough, the journalist could have visited the church in person to observe the faith community and hear directly from current members. The church is always open and ready for transparent communication with the media.鈥�

In order to reflect the real experiences of its members, the church also shared testimonies from believers currently practicing their faith. Teresa (29), who has been attending the church in Paris for six years, said, 鈥淔aith is something you do voluntarily. Regarding the article海角直播 headline 鈥淭hey Treated Us Like Animals,鈥� the church responded, 鈥淭hat expression deeply shocked and confused our members. No one has ever been treated in such a way, nor does anyone feel that way. It was clearly used as a sensational headline to attract attention.鈥�

The church further explained, 鈥淚n reality, we do not allow any form of threats or stigmatization against those who leave the church. There is a culture of respecting personal choice, even after someone decides to leave.鈥�

The man in question was also a believer attending church at the time and was reportedly interested in marriage. However, the woman expressed that she wasn鈥檛 ready for marriage. The breakup was a personal decision made through discussion between the two individuals, based on their personal reflections and faith鈥攏ot due to any pressure or suggestion from the church.鈥�

The church emphasized, 鈥淩omantic relationships and marriage are personal matters based on individual autonomy and responsibility. Linking these decisions to church control is simply not factual.鈥�

The church also raised concerns that parts of the interview included in the article described situations the interviewee had not actually experienced. 鈥淎 photo showing someone with their feet on a radiator was described as a form of 鈥榩unishment,鈥� but this image had nothing to do with any punishment and was taken even before the interviewee joined the church,鈥� the church stated.

鈥淭he person in the photo is still an active believer in the church. At the time, he simply struck that pose as a joke to show he could do it, and someone else took the photo for fun. When he saw the article, he was shocked. The image was used without his consent, and the context was completely misrepresented. He plans to file an official complaint with the media outlet.鈥�

The church emphasized, 鈥淚t is deeply regrettable that the media reported such statements without proper fact-checking, as it risks creating a distorted perception among readers that the Shincheonji Church of Jesus as a whole is an irrational or abusive organization.鈥�

In South Korea, the traditional new year is celebrated in the form of Seollal, the Korean Lunar New Year. The date to mark Seollal is not fixed and changes every year according to the Lunar calendar. This year, South Korea will celebrate Seollal on 29th January, and every year this is the time to honour traditions, family bonds, and ancestral heritage. The celebration in that sense is very similar to the various forms of new year festivities that are celebrated in India. In both our cultures, this is a time for the families to come together and celebrate the occasion with traditional customs, games and food.

Seollal is one of the most important festivals in South Korea as all Koreans are considered to 鈥榞row one year older鈥� on the day. This is tied to the traditional Korean age system, where a person海角直播 age increases not on their birthday but at the start of the lunar new year. This is a day where everyone wishes for a prosperous year ahead. Iconic customs of Seollal include wearing 鈥榟anbok鈥� (a traditional Korean cloth), playing traditional games like 鈥榊utnori鈥�, and sharing 鈥楾teokguk鈥� (rice cake soup).

Tteokguk, which consists of broth and white 鈥榯teok鈥� (rice cakes), symbolise purity and new beginnings. It is a traditional Korean dish served during Seollal and it holds deep cultural and symbolic significance. Eating Tteokguk on Seollal is believed to signify a fresh start to the new year. It represents cleansing oneself of negative energy and starting anew with a clean slate. Tteokguk is not just a meal but a meaningful tradition that captures the essence of Korean culture, history, and values. The essence of Seollal resonates deeply with Indian cultural values, where festivals often centre on family, gratitude, and new beginnings. This shared cultural ethos creates a natural affinity between the two nations.

Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI), the press and culture department of the Embassy of The Republic of Korea, aims to create a cultural bridge between Korea and India, a nation hailing a proud legacy of rich culture, religion, and philosophy. The activities planned for the day include playing Yutnori, a traditional Korean board game and participating in the arm-wrestling competition. 鈥淲ith regard to the Tamil version, I was looking for a raw voice with a good range. We auditioned multiple singers from Madurai and rural Tamil Nadu but, finally believed that Mahalingam would be the right choice for the emotion and rawness we wanted to maintain鈥�

鈥淭he song starts off with a railway announcement in the Secunderabad station which is something I recorded and preserved from 2009 while visiting my cousin for summer vacation鈥�. Little did I know that It would be an introduction to a song I would compose 14 years later.鈥� It took about 1.5 years to complete this album as it had multiple iterations in terms of arrangements and mixes and we are very happy with the way the song has shaped out鈥�

Aditya Ramkumar says he has over 1000+ unreleased tracks that he has composed over the last 4 years and the goal is to have them all released on his YouTube channel. 鈥淭he goal of making music is not for money, not for numbers, not for fame but, mere passion to express yourself in the best possible way鈥�
