February 11,听2025, New Delhi:听Energy听Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of Public Sector Undertakings under the Ministry of Power, has strengthened听its听commitment to sustainable听energy听transformation by forging strategic partnerships to mark听its听15th听foundation听day. The company has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements听worth听Rs听500听crores with leading international and Indian bodies, paving the way for innovative听energy听efficiency solutions and collaborative growth.
EESL听formalized partnerships with Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle, Joint Business Council (IMT-GT JBC), Green Growth Asia听Foundation听(GGAF), and IIT Hyderabad, reinforcing听its听commitment to innovation and cross-border cooperation. The听MoUs, collectively valued at听Rs听500听crores, focus on advancing critical areas such as听energy-efficient lighting, clean cooking solutions, space heating, renewable听energy, electric mobility, cooling technologies, and consultancy services.
Additionally,听EESL听also signed agreements to implement Solar Power Micro Cold Storage Solution (SPMCS) with HP Nursery Management Society under the Department of Horticulture, Himachal Pradesh; Susag Millet Producer Company Limited and Giri Siri Tribal Farmers Producer Organisation through ESAF, Andhra Pradesh. These partnerships aim to provide farmers with sustainable and听energy-efficient storage solutions, helping reduce post-harvest losses and cut GHG emission from the produce at the farm gate.
Notably, the MoU with the IMT-GT highlights a large-scale rollout of听energy-efficient solutions outside international boundaries, while partnerships with educational institutions like IIT aim to integrate innovative technologies into their operations.
The Ministry of Power pavilion drew significant attention from visitors on the first听day听of the听India听Energy听Week听2025, offering valuable insights into the sector. The听EESL听booth also garnered interest, along with the EESLmart booth, which showcased cutting-edge听energy-efficient products such as induction cooktops, 5-star rated BLDC fans and air conditioners, rechargeable emergency bulbs, and e-bicycles.
